Hails my friends,
let's start this day with a little review.
Hyperborea is a Colombian (Bogota) one man band formed by Lucifago Warlord in early 2011. And I'll review the 2012 released "The Threshold Of The Unknown Kingdom" album. There are two versions, the first version is in mini CD-R and the second a normal CD version.
Tracklist:
1. Lonely Wolf
2. One Minute Before The End
3. Black Rain
4. König Winter (Paysage D'hiver Cover)

Walking through a foggy forest in a cold winter night and guided by a wise and strong wolf who leads You into the corners of Your peaceful inner self, would be a good description for the first song "Lonely Wolf". After Your first walk inside of You there's no time to rest You have to stand up,take a deep breath and feel the love of nature in Your lungs. There's not much time left, we're fading away while there's only "One Minute Before The End" left.
Our end has arrived and we have to face every action we made, every thought we had & every step we took while the "Black Rain" is washing us clean. We're gone, and what's left of us? Tell me what's left of us? Is it good or bad? Was it worth to live for it? No matter what it is, it will be here forever protected by the
"König Winter".
I know my way of reviewing releases is very subjective but I think that this is the right way to write about music and to talk about art. Than what's the point in raping the brain out in every second of a song and looking on every technical aspect of the way of making it?
I think that when we talk about music we should say what it awakes inside of us.
Anyway, this release is a beautiful tribute to the relationship of humanity & nature.
It takes us back in time with simple nature soundscapes and beautiful atmospheric sounds.
Also a good thing about this release is that it's not to long because I think that the magic would disappear.
If You like nature, ambiental and dark but not evil music
this is definetly worth Your time.
