MOS:
Welcome and thank You for the interest in my zine.
Please introduce Yourself and Traumtod to us.
JH:
Good evening, thank you for interviewing me.
So, the project ''Traumtod'' was found in January-March,
I don't know what month, by V.S and me. The main thought behind that was to play (Depressive) Black Metal. Well, I think it's not "Depressive" Black Metal, the lyrics are not Depressive and they handle more the surrealism and dreams of mine. For example on ''Trauma'' I've improvised the lyrics, they came in the exact moment.
M.O.S.
I've listened to the track on your bandcamp page over and over again.
At first I was like "oh another dsbm bedroom project" but very soon I was proven wrong.
I could really feel the emotions in the vocals and the riffs.
Tell me a bit more about the meaning that "Traumtod" has to You.
JH:
The Name Traumtod has the following meaning,
some people will say that it sounds really pseudo-philisophic, but I had some dreams a few months ago. Dreams in that I've died. This surrealistic experience of death was special to me, my death in my dream.
If i would be asked to describe ''Traumtod'' in one word it would be ''passion''.
Because V. is doing his work on the instruments so impressive, it's just an honour to work with him. And this project is, like many music projects, a vent to describe my visions. I can't say that I'm often depressed, but there are other interesting feelings, that are giving this passion to me. The passion to improvise these lyrics.
I believe that it sounds cliche to many musicians out there.
But it isn't, trust me.

M.O.S.:
Talking about lyrics. If I've heared right, on the song "Trauma" the lyrics are in german and the name Traum ( dream) Tod (death) also comes form german words, why the fascination whit the german language?
I mean on bandcamp I see that Ukraine is written under tags
JH:
The Project is a german/ukrainian project.
I'm from Germany and V. is from the Ukraine.
I'm writing my lyrics in german.
My english is not very well and I can express myself better in german.
MOS:
I see. Can you tell us a little about the recording process?
It must be a bit tricky to understand the ideas of each other when You're living so far apart.
JH:
Sure. I'm recording the vocals in my home. My microphone is not the best one, I will buy a better one, sooner or later, that just by the way. If I recorded the Vocals, I send them to V.
He is mixing the Vocals through the instrumental song then.
After he finished, he sends the song to me again and I'm thinking about a title.
MOS:
Why have You deicided to become a vocalist in this kind of extreme music and how long have You been making music?
JH:
Express my inner feelings in music, where someone is listening, you know ?
Well it sounds crazy, but I first came in contact with this kind of music, when I was 12 years old. 2009.
That's the reason why I don't want to call it Depressive Suicidal Black Metal.
I don't have suicidal tendencies. I just want to express my dreams, my hopes, my fears. I know that many people will be angry if they read, that I'm only 15 years old but for me - Age doesn't matter.
MOS:
12 years old, damn that's pretty young. Yeah I know what it means to be hated by the "older" generations neither then less. You guys have created a great piece of music. What are the plans for future releases?
JH:
There is a split planned with the DBM-Project of the great musician from ''thehappymask'' and his singer Alex.
MOS:
We've come to the end of the interview.
Thank You for taking the time I wish You all the best in the future.
If You want to say anything else please feel free to do so now.
JH:
Thank you very much for the interview.
Greetings to the Talheim Records/Talheim Records Germany guys, thehappymask, Annorkoth, Everfor and My Utopian World. And thank YOU for your support!
